Watch Norah Jones Cover George Harrison On Conan
George Harrison Week on Conan is coming to an end today, and all week, people like Beck and Paul Simon have stopped by the show to cover songs from the late Beatle. Last night, Norah Jones was the show’s musical guest, and she did a tasteful and pretty version of “Behind That Locked Door,” a song from Harrison’s 1970 solo album All Things Must Pass. Harrison’s song, written as a sort of note of encouragement to Bob Dylan during his post-motorcycle crash comeback, is one of Harrison’s rare flirtations with country music, though Jones, naturally, sings it as a sort of smooth adult-contempo pop song. Check out the performance below.
The George Harrison box set The Apple Years 1968-75 is out now on Universal Music Group.
