Andy Stott – “Faith In Strangers”
The Manchester producer Andy Stott makes dubby, intense, vaguely oppressive dance music, and he recently announced that he’d follow up Luxury Problems, his 2012 breakthrough album, with a new one called Faith In Strangers. We’ve heard first single “Violence,” and now Stott has followed that up with the albums title track, a track that brings all of Stott’s usual spartan harshness. Unlike a lot of his songs, though, this one has a warm, almost fond memory. The opera singer and frequent Stott collaborator Alison Skidmore sings on it. Listen below.
Faith In Strangers is out 11/18 on Modern Love.
