Deafheaven Promise New Album In 2015
Deafheaven have hinted on Facebook and Twitter that the follow-up to last year’s Sunbather should be expected next year. Michael speculated what their third album could sound like when we posted “From The Kettle Onto The Coil” earlier this year, which was a one-off single produced for Adult Swim. Here’s what he had to say: “So the next stage of Deafheaven’s career will be worth watching, if for no other reason than its sheer unpredictability — the band really have no clearly blazed path to follow. They could make another album that sounds exactly like Sunbather; they could make an album that veers as far from Sunbather as that album did from the band’s 2011 debut, Roads To Judah. Or they could veer further still.” We’ll see what path the band takes in 2015.
