Dropkick Murphys’ Tour Bus Involved In Fatal Accident
Dropkick Murphys, the Celtic punk band from Boston, were driving to a Dallas airport early Sunday morning to drop a band member off. As the Associated Press reports, near Austin, a man stepped in front of their tour bus and was killed. In a Facebook post about the accident, the band claimed that “police suspect a suicide,” though area police haven’t yet confirmed that. The band was forced to cancel a show in Tulsa because the bus was damaged and the driver was too shaken up to continue. On Facebook, the band writes, “As much as it pains us to miss a show and we truly apologize for it, we’d like to stop and acknowledge that a man has lost his life. Please keep him and any family he might have in your prayers.”
