JMSN — AKA Detroit-born, LA-based producer Christian Berishaj — is following up his 2012 debut †Priscilla† next week with a self-titled “blue album” (not to be confused with a previous Los Angeles import’s self-titled blue album). Advance single “Addicted” finds a number of vocals intermingling in celebration of a budding obsession — one weathered and raw, one polished and sleek, one altered into inhuman shapes by digital effects. Underneath, Berishaj lays skittering hi-hats, creeping bass, and a soaring string section. The end result is a grandiose R&B track floating somewhere in the space between Justin Timberlake and How To Dress Well. Listen below.
