The last we heard from Mirror Kisses, the solo project of Queens-based producer George Clanton, was back in June when he released his deceptively chilling single "Bleed." Sometimes it's hard to sing along to synth-propelled tracks, but "Keep A Secret" avoids a washed-out aesthetic by clinging to the understated might of Clanton's voice and carefully placed lyricism.Clanton's vocal arrangements are crushed velvet -- soft and crooning at times, dark and guttural at others, all the while maintaining the kind of sparkling sheen that makes his particular breed of production so intriguing.
