The Weeknd was arrested early Saturday morning after an altercation with police at the Cromwell Hotel in Las Vegas. According to TMZ, police were called to the hotel after Abel Tesfaye was involved in a fight. When the cops tried to break it up, “one of them pulled the singer into an elevator” and, while inside, Tesfaye allegedly punched the police officer in the head. Tesfaye was charged with battery of a protected person. Later that day, he posted an Instagram with the caption “escaped from Las Vegas” and tweeted out the same thing as well.
