Arp – “Zero Zero” (Kim Fowley Cover)
Yesterday, we lost Kim Fowley, the legendary psychedelic/glam/punk rock weirdo and con man who managed to place himself at the center of virtually every rock-history advancement of the last 40 years. As a tribute, psych-popper Alexis Georgopoulos, who records as Arp, has shared a cover of Fowley’s ecstatically strange 1981 song “Zero Zero,” putting a bit of a widescreen sheen on the song but leaving its twitchiness intact. Listen to the cover below.
As long as you’re investigating Fowley’s legacy, allow me to recommend the amazing 1965 acidhead oddity “The Trip.”
