In 2013, HAIM came through and fucked the whole game up with Days Are Gone, their ridiculously breezy and pleasant Ariel Rechtshaid-produced debut album. And now HAIM and Rechtshaid are back at it; the band and producer have gone into the studio to start work on their sophomore LP. Given that Rechtshaid seems to know exactly how the band’s sound works best, this is awesome news. We probably shouldn’t expect the new album anytime too soon, since these guys seem like studio tinkerers who will make sure they get everything perfect before they throw it out there, but the mere fact that it’s in progress is good to hear.
