Migos – “One Time”
Migos’ output can only be described in one word: prolific. It seems like every time I turn around there’s a new song or mixtape from the Atlanta trio. But the release of “One Time” still feels like a special moment because it’s the first single from their first actual album, Y.R.N. The Album. Mixtape life is great, but your debut record only comes out once. Over production from Deko, the trio boast about how they only need to show up one time to influence culture, and given the prevalence of the Migos flow in hip-hop at the moment, they’re not lying. Personally, I’d like someone to explain to me how exactly to smoke a blunt made of pure gold, like the one pictured in the above cover art. Maybe they’ll get into that on the second single. Stream the song below, and try to only play it one time.
Y.R.N. The Album is slated for release sometime in 2015.
