Stream Three Tracks From Riff Raff’s Chopped And Screwed Purple Icon
Lately, Riff Raff has been too busy getting diesel to crank out a whole lot of new music. But next month, he’ll release a new version of Neon Icon, the official debut that he finally released last year. No matter how bizarre his public persona gets, Riff Raff is still a Texas rapper, and it’s not much of a surprise to see that Houston DJ OG Ron C has put together Purple Icon, a screwed-and-chopper (or, per Ron C’s term, “chopped not slopped”) version of the album. He’s releasing it next month, and you can get it in a bundle that includes a purple cassette tape, a blacklight poster, and Riff Raff socks. Below, listen to the chopped-not-slopped versions of “Tip Toe Wing In My Jawwwdinz,” “Wetter Than Tsunami,” and “Time.”
Purple Icon is out 3/10 on Mad Decent.
