Summer Jams 2013: Ms. Voice – “Talk To Me”
J.D. Salinger’s seminal portrait of teenage angst, The Catcher in the Rye, was released 62 years ago today. In it, the anti-hero Holden Caufield muses on the nature of art and literature: “What really knocks me out is a book that, when you’re all done reading it, you wish the author that wrote it was a terrific friend of yours and you could call him up on the phone whenever you felt like it. That doesn’t happen much, though.” That’s how I feel about the work of Ms. Voice. A rare bird indeed. (Thanks for the tip, JCA.)
