Newsweek invites us to meet The Nerd Girls: young women who study engineering but also wear a lot of makeup and have long hair. It seems The Nerd Girls have branded themselves in an attempt to get a reality TV show -- answering emails every week from people around the country who need remote-controlled doggie doors or something. Forgive my skepticism, but both the article and the video contain far too much emphasis on girly stuff to signify a major cultural shift. I don't think this would be Lisa-Simpson-approved.
