“No Room In Frame” is the opening track on Death Cab For Cutie’s new Kintsugi, and now it’s the second single following “Black Sun.” As an opener, “No Room In Frame” does a fine job setting the tone in terms of both sonic experimentation (all these beats beats beats beats beats beats) and lyrical rumination (“You cannot outrun a ghost”). It’s still certifiably Death Cab, though, built around memorable guitar riffs and Ben Gibbard’s enunciated melancholy. We heard the song’s live debut last month; now hear the studio version below.
