My Morning Jacket – “Big Decisions”
The members of My Morning Jacket have been keeping themselves busy with other projects in the years since their last album, 2011’s Circuital. But they’re reportedly planning on dropping two new albums in the next two years. A track from one of them made its way online today; it’s a big, searching, midtempo jam, and it feels like a grower. The band debuted it at their One Big Holiday festival in Mexico a few weeks ago, calling it “Big D.” (They also played some covers with the War On Drugs there.) The version online now, titled “Big Decision,” appears to be an unofficial leak, and there’s no confirmation that it’s the band’s new single, so there’s at least some chance that it could be fake. But it sure sounds like a new My Morning Jacket studio single. Check it out below.
No details on the release of an album yet, but it can’t be long now.
UPDATE: MMJ’s publicist confirms the song is legit, but it’s not officially released yet and has been removed from YouTube.
