The Toronto band Elsa, who have nothing to do with the movie Frozen other than I guess being from someplace cold, play grand and woozy dream-pop. On “Never Come Down,” the title track from their new EP, they bend guitar sounds and harmonies like Kevin Shields, but there’s a melodic pop-music lightness to all those dazed sounds. The new EP follows 2013’s I Do EP, and like that one, it’s coming out on Fucked Up guitarist and co-leader Mike Haliechuk’s One Big Silence label. Check it out below.
