Kanye West Will Headline Glastonbury 2015
Glastonbury, the UK’s most storied music festival, announced Foo Fighters as a 2015 headliner back in February, and now they’ve announced another: Kanye West. A statement on Glastonbury’s site reads: “We’re very excited to reveal that Kanye West will headline the Saturday night of this year’s Glastonbury Festival. This will be the rapper’s first appearance at the Festival.” Kanye’s big brother Jay Z famously trolled Noel Gallagher with a “Wonderwall” cover in 2008 after Gallagher suggested rappers should not be headlining Glastonbury. And since we already know what Gallagher thinks of Kanye, we’ll just sit here and wait patiently for some further cordial discourse on the matter.
Glastonbury is 6/24-28 in the tiny English village of Pilton. Get more info here.
