Howard Stern Announces Beatles Special With The Flaming Lips & Fred Armisen
There are going to be some confused boomers this Friday night. At 11PM, Howard Stern is turning over his Sirius XM channel to guest host Fred Armisen and to the Flaming Lips, who will be turning the show into a Beatles tribute. According to a press release, they’ll do songs from With A Little Help From My Fwends, the guest-packed Sgt. Pepper’s tribute album that they released last year. A press release also promises “other surprises.” And in further Lips news, they’re planning a 20th-anniversary reissue of their cultishly beloved 1995 album Clouds Taste Metallic; it’s coming later this year.
