New York noise beast Dominick Fernow, better known as Prurient, is a few weeks away from releasing his monster double album Frozen Niagara Falls, and noise heads are very excited about it. We’ve already posted the tracks “Dragonflies To Sew You Up” and “Greenpoint,” both of which push that sickening electronic rumble in different directions. And now Fernow has shared the sort-of title track “Frozen Niagara Falls (Portion One).” It’s more what you might expect from a veteran eardrum-rupturer like Fernow: A stretched-out queasy bass drone with all-sorts of tension-inducing squiggles overtop, stretched out to seven rough and cleansing minutes.
