Disclosure – “Bang That”
Other than a few Mary J. Blige collabs, a couple of remixes, and a whole lot of live shows, Disclosure have been fairly quiet since the release of their 2013 debut album Settle. But the album has taken over the world anyway, to the point that their three-year-old Sam Smith collab “Latch” is still all over the radio in the U.S. So the unveiling of a new Disclosure single is a big deal, and the duo’s new track “Bang That” has some serious festival-conquering ambition to it. It’s a big, honking house banger built around a raunchy sample from 313 Bass Mechanics’ “Pass Out.” But for all its obviousness, the song still has that architectural integrity that Disclosure brought to every track on Settle. The duo said earlier this year that their next album was “niiiiicely underway!“, and perhaps this is an early taste. The group’s reps promise more new music coming soon. Check it out below.
“Bang That” is out soon on PMR, and Disclosure told Annie Mac today that their new album will be out this year.
