Table Scraps – “Bad Feeling” (Stereogum Premiere)
Every lyric that Table Scraps’ Scott Vincent Abbott and Poppy Twist snarl out feels like a threat. And with Abbott’s four amps’ worth of guitar fuzz and Twist’s bashed-out rhythms backing them up, none of those threats seem empty. More Time For Strangers, the UK duo’s first full-length of primal DIY garage-rock, is due next month, with new single “Bad Feeling” preceding it at the end of May. “Bad Feeling” sounds like just that, an ominous song-length approximation of gathering storm clouds that bursts into full thunderous noise in the ironic chorus: “I’ve got a bad, bad feeling that everything is alright.” Let it darken your day below.
“Bad Feeling” is out 5/25, and More Time For Strangers is out 6/5 via Hell’s Teeth/Wiener. Pre-order it here.
