These two are sort of made for each other, aren't they? James Franco is getting ready to direct a movie called The Long Home, an adaptation of a 1999 William Gay novel about the devil coming to Tennessee in the '40s. Courtney Love's acting career is going through a bit of a resurgence after her gonzo turn on the beautifully nuts Fox drama Empire, and now Deadline reports that she'll play a role in The Long Home. Given the novel's setting, we could be seeing a return of Love's Southern accent from The People Vs. Larry Flynt, and that's just a fun thing to think about. The movie will also star Franco, Josh Hutcherson, Tim Blake Nelson, and Giancarlo Esposito.
