Watch Noel Gallagher Play The Late Late Show, Talk Oasis Fistfights
A fun thing about having James Corden on late-night TV: He treats every Britpop-era guest like visiting royalty. Consider, if you will, the time he put the Manic Street Preachers on American TV for the first time ever. And last night, he had Noel Gallagher on as a guest, inviting him to sit for an interview. On the show, he talked about how he thought Zayn Malik should’ve just enjoyed the last little bit of One Direction’s run and he also talked about all the times that he and his brother Liam got into fistfights backstage at Oasis shows. (When Corden asked if he won the fights more often, he took a long pause before answering that things were pretty even. This is a dead giveaway that he lost pretty much every fight.) Gallagher also talked about how he believes that hot dogs are sandwiches during a group chat segment with New Girl’s Hannah Simone and the comedian Pete Holmes. If you want to watch Corden giggling furiously, these two segments are for you! Gallagher also performed with his High Flying Birds, playing “Lock All The Doors,” from their new album Chasing Yesterday. Watch the two interviews and the performance below.
Chasing Yesterday is out now on Gallagher’s own Sour Mash Records.
