Annie Clark sat down for a conversation with The New York Times music critic Jon Pareles at a TimesTalk interview at Toronto’s Luminato Festival. She was in town to support David Byrne’s Contemporary Color project, and she talks about the collaboration and her personal relationship with the project. She also talked more about last year’s St. Vincent self-titled, mostly repeating things she’s said in interviews before since it came out so long ago. She also discusses her Grammy award (it’s with her mom among her other awards from childhood), the choreography of her live show, and addressed her topple off of a speaker in Knoxville earlier this month.
