Keith Richards Announces First Solo Album In 23 Years
Keith Richards will release his third solo album, Crosseyed Heart, this fall. The record marks Richards’ first solo album in over 20 years, following 1992’s Main Offender. Too bad that we already published our 48 Bands That Took 20 Or More Years Between Albums list! Richards would be a welcome inclusion. The Rolling Stones guitarist wrote or co-wrote all of the tracks on Crosseyed Heart and collaborated with an assortment of other artists including Norah Jones. Richards is joined by guitarist Waddy Wachtel, keyboardist Ian Neville, and Sarah Dash, who sang on Richards’ earlier solo albums with X-Pensive Winos. The first single, “Trouble,” will drop on 7/17; stay tuned.
