New The Smiths x Tears For Fears Mashup Is Surprisingly Great

Tears For Fears The Smiths Mashup

Tears For Fears The Smiths Mashup

Ever wonder what it would sound like if the Smiths and Tears For Fears joined forces? Well, a surprisingly good new mashup of "Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before" and "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" surfaced about a week ago to answer that burning question. It's a combination of the instrumental from the Smiths song and an acapella version of the Tears For Fears track done by Brat Productions, which is a website run by Daniel Barassi (who also serves as the webmaster for Depeche Mode's website).

Here's what Barassi had to say about the mashup:

Every time I go to clean my place, I play music. The problem is that I get distracted easily (SQUIRREL!). When I am organizing my records, I end up mixing. When I try to clean up digital files and folders, I end up messing around on the computer. This is an example of messing around gone right. Now, I did already mashup this particular Tears For Fears song before (TFF vs Fleetwood Mac), and it sounded pretty good, but this. . .wow. Granted, Curt is time compressed a bit more than I would normally, but the result is great (in my mad mind, at least). Enjoy! :)
