Escort – “Animal Nature”
New York disco-revival ensemble Escort released their self-titled debut way back in 2011, and they’ve been taking their time putting together its follow-up. But now they’ve announced that that new album, entitled Animal Nature, is set to arrive this fall. It’ll feature 10 original tracks, including the previously-released jams “If You Say So” and “Cabaret,” as Rolling Stone points out. It’ll also feature remixes from people like Morgan Geist and Little Boots, and JKriv will rework the band’s cover of St. Vincent’s “Actor Out Of Work.” The album’s title track is a slow, sweaty Italo track that beautifully streamlines the euphoric orchestral disco of the first album. Listen to it below.
Animal Nature is out 10/30 on the group’s own Escort Records.
