Watch Shags Chamberlain Join Ariel Pink At Melbourne’s Supersense Festival
Ariel Pink played a special one-off show at Melbourne’s Supersense Festival on Saturday night, performing with Melbournians Shags Chamberlain and Oren Ambarchi as the backing band for Ash Ra Tempel frontman Manuel Göttsching. But he also played a solo show at the festival the night before, and during that performance, Chamberlain — a frequent collaborator of Pink’s who contributed synths, vocals, and bass to pom pom and helped sequence the album — joined him onstage. The two goofed around and played a spacey, free-form set heavy on the drum machines and synths, and you watch their performance below.
