Watch Unknown Mortal Orchestra Get Magnetically Weird On Seth Meyers
Slowly but surely, the Seth Meyers version of Late Night is turning into the same sort of dependable source for music that Jimmy Fallon’s version of the show was. Case in point: Last night, Meyers featured Portland-via-New Zealand psych-poppers Unknown Mortal Orchestra, not exactly the sort of band that gets a ton of late-night bookings. And UMO used their moment on the show to make a real impression, too. They played the obliquely soulful title track from their new album Multi-Love. Frontman Ruban Nielson cut a compellingly weird figure, wearing 2 Chainz-esque sunglasses and singing the whole song while perched atop a baby grand piano. Watch the performance below.
