Danger Mouse Is Working On The New Adele And Red Hot Chili Peppers Albums
Serious question: Has Danger Mouse climbed to the top of the producer power rankings? Brian Burton keeps nabbing more and more prominent clients; in recent years he’s worked with marquee names such as Norah Jones, A$AP Rocky, even U2, and he reunited with the now-dominant Black Keys on Turn Blue. And now he seems to be involved with a pair of surefire blockbusters from long-dormant superstar acts. Billboard reports that Burton is working with Adele on her eternally delayed LP3. Meanwhile, the Red Hot Chili Peppers just hit the studio to resume work on the record they started in 2014, and Danger Mouse’s involvement has been heavily tipped since February. Weird to think that every MOR superstar is clamoring to work with the guy who made The Grey Album, but it sure seems that way.
