Stream Pleasure Leftists The Woods Of Heaven
Post-punk has been quietly making a comeback for a while now, but it’s more obvious than ever in 2015. Viet Cong, Ought, and Shopping all have or will release new albums this year, and the list of bands who owe their existence to the mid-’70s expands to include Cleveland’s Pleasure Leftists. The Woods Of Heaven is the band’s debut LP, which follows the release of several singles and EPs as well as their tour in support of fellow Ohioans Cloud Nothings last year. This is an album with an arsenal of history behind it, and while it’s fun to sit and pick out Pleasure Leftists’ every influence, it’s just as affecting to sit and listen and let their particular brand of thunder crash over you.
