The National Announce Benefit Concert In L.A.
The National haven’t been touring heavily in 2015; their only shows this year have been a few festival sets. But they’ll play a headlining show at the Troubadour in Los Angeles 10/16, as they announce on their website. It’s a benefits for the nonprofit Cooperative For Education, which raises money for girls in Guatemalan schools and which was founded by Joe and Jeff Berninger, cousins of National frontman Matt. The nonprofit will be launching its Thousand Girls Initiative program around the same time. Tickets go up for sale 10/21 here.
