Run The Jewels have taken what started as a joke all the way to the finish line — Meow The Jewels is ready for mastering. The album is a version of RTJ2 using only cat sounds, and after fans Kickstarted the money to make it happen, El-P and Killer Mike treated the project with the same seriousness with which they approach their actual music. To their credit, the whole thing has the air of an inside joke they let us be a part of, instead of feeling like a parody or something snarky. Just Blaze apparently finished the final work on the project last night, so we’ll be getting it soon:
