NFL Offers Bruno Mars Super Bowl Halftime Again
Bruno Mars headlined the Super Bowl XLVIII halftime show in 2014 (with some assistance from the Red Hot Chili Peppers), and his performance was the most-watched halftime show ever until Katy Perry and the dancing sharks last year. The NFL was apparently pretty pleased, because Entertainment Weekly reports that an inside source has revealed that Bruno Mars has now been offered the headlining spot at the Super Bowl 50 halftime show in Santa Clara, CA. According to Billboard, Mars was asked to “curate” the halftime show, which means that there will probably be some big-name guests. Representatives for Mars and the NFL have not yet made any official comment.
