Public Memory – “Lunar”
Robert Toher is best known for his work with ERAAS, the Brooklyn-based electronic project whose last full-length, Initiation, came out in 2013. Aside from touring, the duo has been fairly quiet since, but today, Toher announced that he’s been working on a new project called Public Memory. Felte Records will release Public Memory’s debut album, Wuthering Drum, in 2016, which Toher recorded over the course of a year while living in Los Angeles. “Lunar” is the album’s first single, and though it initiates with a droning, static wall-of-sound, Toher’s falsetto is a faint light that dampens those early nocturnal vibes. In sporadic moments, “Lunar” absolutely glimmers. Listen below.
Wuthering Drum is due out 3/18 via Felte.
