R. Kelly Walks Out Of Huffington Post Live Interview
R. Kelly has had a bit of a resurgence lately, following a two-year absence, via his recently released 13th studio album, The Buffet, and a couple of features on Chance The Rapper tracks. Kelly is an integral contributor to the progression of modern R&B and its reclassification as “urban contemporary” at the Grammys. Indeed, as he said on “Thoia Thoing,” what is R&B without the R? But he is also the man that sang the lyrics “bugga bugga boohooty” with creepy eloquence, perhaps hinting at his complicated sexual habits.
During a sit-down with Caroline Modarressy-Tehrani for Huffington Post Live — in which interweb dwellers could ask Kelz anything using the hashtag #AskRKelly — people were understandably more curious about his alleged marriage to a 15-year-old Aaliyah and the child-pornography charges he was indicted on in 2002, and acquitted of in 2008, than anything he has going on currently. Modarressy-Tehrani was not shy in asking those questions, and within 20 minutes of sitting down, Kelly abruptly took off his mic and walked out. Check out the truncated interview here.
