Motörhead Will Livestream Lemmy’s Memorial Service
Motörhead will be holding a memorial service for their frontman Ian “Lemmy” Kilmister, who passed away last week, on Saturday (1/9), and will be livestreaming the event for all to watch. The ceremony will be held at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood at 3PM PST — the location is too small to accommodate everyone who will undoubtedly want to gather, so they are offering a livestream on the official Motörhead Youtube channel.
“Wherever you are, PLEASE get together and watch the service with fellow Motörheadbangers and friends,” the band writes in a statement via Blabbermouth. “GO to your favorite bar, or your favorite club, make sure they have access to an Internet connection and toast along with us. Or simply invite your pals around and celebrate Lemm’s life at home. Whatever your venue, and however you can, let’s be sure to gather globally on Saturday, January 9 and celebrate the life of our dear friend and irreplaceable icon.”
The video will be live here when the time comes.
