Bloodiest – “He Is Disease”
Chicago experimental metal six-piece Bloodiest are rhythmic, raw, pulsating energy in musical form. After sharing “Suffer,” the closer from their upcoming self-titled album, they offer a taste of what the meat of the eight-track project will sound like in the followup “He Is Disease” via CVLT Nation. The cyclical rhythms are incessant, seamlessly weaving in and out of each other, offering no break from the onslaught. The vocals sit low in the mix, just audible enough for comprehension without straining, building from soft-spoken phrases to gravelly howls. Let the head bangs commence, though you may find yourself unable to resist moving the rest of your body to the weirdly danceable rhythms.
Bloodiest is out 1/15 via Relapse. It is available for pre-order in physical and digital formats.
