Puddle Of Mudd Singer Notches His First Arrest Of 2016
Oh, Wes Scantlin. Just a quick glance at the Puddle Of Mudd frontman’s Wikipedia page is enough to reveal an incomplete but still quite lengthy list of trouble — stuff like getting banned from Graceland for swimming in an off-limits pool, vandalizing his neighbor’s patio with a chainsaw, getting so drunk on a commercial flight that the plane had to make an emergency landing, throwing things at the audience at his shows, repeatedly spitting on the window of a police cruiser transporting him to booking after he’d already been arrested.
In 2015, he made it a full 20 days into the new year before getting arrested for riding an airport baggage carousel, but this year, he managed to cut that number in half. Following a 12/26 arrest for drug possession, as TMZ reports, Scantlin was arrested again yesterday, this time for breaking into his former house that he lost in foreclosure last year. He appears to have smashed the window with a hatchet to get inside, at which point he proceeded to trash a whole bunch of audio equipment, surveillance cameras, and an alarm system. He was arrested for vandalism, pleading “C’mon, this is my house, man!” with the cops as he was taken away in cuffs. (He’s since been released on $20,000 bail.) You can watch footage of the arrest below via TMZ; the whole thing would be kinda funny if it weren’t so clear that something is seriously wrong with this guy.
