Stream NZCA Lines Infinite Summer
NZCA Lines — the electronic project of Michael Lovett — has been leading up to their sophomore album, Infinite Summer, for a while now, with a series of watery, portentous singles that started with “New Atmosphere” in 2014 and followed with “Persephone Dreams” and “Two Hearts” at the tail-end of last year. Now, the entire record is streaming is full, and Lovett has expanded on the album’s concept to The Guardian, which premiered the album earlier today:
The album is based around the idea of a far-future Earth, where the sun has expanded to the size of a red giant and our extinction is imminent. Half of the world is covered by a city that clings to the past and embraces its destruction, while the other half is trying to rebuild, create and make something new. Yet, it’s good on both sides because it’s warm everywhere and people just party most of the time.
