Electronic producer the Range is known for remixing other artists’ stuff, and by remixing I mean flipping the shit out of it. His How To Dress Well remix came on shuffle the other day and I instantly started dancing, which reminded me it’s been almost two years since we’ve heard from James Hinton. Today he blesses us with an original work called “Florida.” This joint has cool, unorthodox elements — steel drums and harpsichord mix with a double-time drum pattern, deep bass, and oscillating synths to convey a euphoric feel. The breathy, delicate vocals float through the beat’s core, adding to a blissful mood. It makes you want more.
