Coldplay are playing the Super Bowl Halftime Show on Sunday, and, as a warm-up, frontman Chris Martin did Carpool Karaoke with his fellow Brit and musical collaborator James Corden. Carpool Karaoke is getting more and more elaborate these days, and this one had a whole narrative thread about Corden giving Martin a ride up to San Francisco for the big game. And before you ask: No, it wasn’t as good as the Adele one. Corden actually sang Martin under the table a couple of times, and they mostly focused on late-period Coldplay songs, which: Whoof! There are a lot of bad late-period Coldplay songs. Martin did spend a few minutes singing David Bowie’s “Heroes” while playing a dinky keyboard, so that was something. Watch it all unfold below.
