EERA – “White Water” Video
Norway via UK singer EERA is gearing up to drop her self-titled EP this spring. She’s already shared the vulnerable, dark “Drive With Fear,” and today she follows up with a video for “White Water.”
The song has a heavy, swampy bass line and skulks in the low-end before EERA’s delicately floating vocals and piercing lyrics come in first to balance and then overtake on hook. The breakdown with ambient sirens and dramatic sweeps is particularly haunting. The visuals take on the effect of EERA’s voice as scenes of her bathing in milk fully-clothed, and performing the lyrics with a swaying, stoic look that magnifies the already deep emotion of the song. An overlayed sequence combining all of the shots translucently comes in over that spectacular breakdown for a mesmerizing experience before EERA disappears, engulfed by white water. Watch below.
The EERA EP is out 3/4 on House Arrest. Pre-order is available in physical and digital formats.
