NYC’s Country Music Festival FarmBorough Is Cancelled
FarmBorough, billed as New York City’s first country festival when they got their start last year, will not be returning for a second year, even though they had already announced the festival’s initial lineup a few weeks ago.
“All of us at FarmBorough Festival appreciate the support we have received, but conditions dictate that we redirect our energy at this time,” the festival said in a statement posted on their official website, which has now been wiped clean. “We appreciate the opportunity you afforded us to present FarmBorough in New York City, and apologize for any inconvenience.”
The venture was backed by Founders Entertainment (the team behind Governors Ball) and Live Nation. It was scheduled to take place in June on Randall’s Island, the same location that Gov Ball has occupied for the past few years and where the new Panorama Festival will take place in July.
