Detroit Street Renamed In Memory Of Glenn Frey
A street in the Detroit suburb of Royal Oak has been renamed Glenn Frey Drive in honor of the Eagles member, who passed away last month. The Detroit Free Press reports that the street will run next to Royal Oak Middle School, which was formerly Frey’s high school. “I don’t think we can come up with a better tribute to one of our most famous residents,” town mayor Jim Ellison said.
The new street signs will be installed next Thursday (5/18).
