A$AP Twelvyy – “Lords Never Worry” (Feat. A$AP Nast & A$AP Rocky)
A$AP Twelvyy is one of the more slept-on members of the A$AP Mob, but dude can spit. Sticking close to the A$AP ethos as everyone in the clique does, he drops the one-off posse cut “Lords Never Worry” taking the title from the 2012 A$AP Mob compilation album. Nast opens the track spazzing through a hard, energetic 16 affirming the principles the Mob lives by and comparing them to the Black Panthers. Twelvyy comes in next to double down, and Rocky shows up at the end to drill home the ideology even more with lines like “This is Huey Newton with the uzi shooting.” The beat is very dramatic, with triumphant horns, and big drums to uplift the verses as if delivered from a podium or a soap box on Harlem’s Malcolm X Blvd. This is the type of song that makes you walk with your chest swelled up a bit while it pumps through your headphones. Listen.
