Last week, Jimmy Kimmel Live came up with a weirdly inspired trainwreck pairing for the return of its Mash-Up Monday series: Panic! At The Sisqo. Last night, they managed a less impressive combination: Disco warriors KC & The Sunshine Band and infamous creep Cee-Lo. The new combination was naturally called KCeeLo & The Sunshine Band, and they did something that not too many of these Mash-Up Monday groups do: They combined two of their songs. In this case, it was KC’s massive disco oldie “Get Down Tonight” and Cee-Lo’s 2011 single “Bright Lights Bigger City,” a song that weirdly still gets stuck in my head on a regular basis. “Bright Lights Bigger City” is halfway to being a disco song anyway, so the combination seemed fairly unforced. This joke generally seems less funny when Cee-Lo is involved.
