In 1971, Pink Floyd recorded one of the all-time classic concert movies in the ancient Roman ruins of a Pompeii theater. And now Jambase reports that Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour will return to the site this summer, 45 years later, to play two shows. Gilmour is touring behind his new solo album Rattle That Lock, and the Pompeii shows are set for 7/7 and 7/8. Gilmour will probably play the smaller amphitheatre rather than the bigger theater that Floyd played when they made the movie.
