Major Lazer & Grandtheft – “Number One”
Diplo’s Major Lazer crew just played to a crowd of 500,000 kids in Cuba, so they can apparently do just whatever the fuck they want right now. And what they wanted to do, today, was share a random and unreleased old track. “Number One,” a collaboration with the Las Vegas producer Grandtheft, chops up old-school dancehall reggae sounds and turns them into euphoric EDM. It’s a good track, and it makes me wonder what else they have just lying around. Listen to it below.
Major Lazer’s 2015 album Peace Is The Mission is out on Mad Decent.
