Norah Jones, Aimee Mann, Susanna Hoffs, Lydia Loveless, Neko Case, Kathryn Calder, & Brian May – “One Voice”
The upcoming documentary A Dog Named Gucci is about, yes, a dog named Gucci, who was set on fire by a group of men as a puppy and then rescued by Doug James, a professor at nearby Spring Hill College in Alabama. After adopting Gucci, James lobbied for and eventually got Alabama lawmakers to pass the Pet Protection Act, also known as the Gucci Law, which made cruelty to animals a Class C felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison. An all-star cast of musicians consisting of Norah Jones, Aimee Mann, Susanna Hoffs, Lydia Loveless, Neko Case, Kathryn Calder, and Queen’s Brian May all teamed up with producer Dean Falcone to record a song for the film’s closing credits, “One Voice,” which you can hear below in three different forms.
A Dog Named Gucci is available 4/19 on DVD and digital download.
